A Surprise Proposal

I love a good surprise, don't you?! My dear friend Lydia asked if I would like to be involved in a very unique event, a surprise proposal! Naturally, I was over the moon to design and be apart of this special moment. The idea was to plan a mock shoot at the place where Shane and Sarah had originally met, the beautiful pine forrest in Guelph, ON.  Sarah and Shane agreed to be our models and the plan was set in motion! As you will see from the photos, Sarah was completely surprised and said "YES" to marrying the love of her life.
Congrats Sarah & Shane!

Ryan & Stefanie's Romantic Distillery Wedding

Intimate, romantic and all things lovely. Ryan and Stefanie's romantic wedding in The Distillery District was nothing short of magic. The ceremony took place at Arta Gallery followed by a champagne toast lead by the best man.  The ceremony decor was simplistic with soft candlelight and two lush floral arrangements. Following the ceremony, guests walked down the cobblestone laneway to Archeo where they would enjoy cocktails and canapés on the patio. Inside Archeo, a breathtaking floral installation was displayed directly above the head table and was the focal point of the room.  Under this installation the bridal party enjoyed dinner and some seriously amazing speeches surrounded by their loved ones. What a celebration it was!

The Dinner Series

201706JamFactorySample-18.jpg

I grew up in a household that loved to host. We would often have visitors from near and far join us for dinner and stay a night or two. When we were expecting guests,  my grandparents would pull out napkins, cutlery, charger plates, various china and glassware to select what they would dress the table with according to the time of year and the menu. Speaking of food, my grandfather was the master chef. Fresh ingredients from the local farmers market was a must! He would spend hours in the kitchen ensuring everything was cooked to perfection. While he cooked, I watched my grandmother carefully iron napkins and fold them ever so perfectly each time. Such care and attention to detail, down to the salt and pepper shakers! It is in my grandparents warm and inviting home that I fell in loving with the art of hosting.

And now, it is with great excitement that I launch a new edition of All That Jaz, The Dinner Series. Curated dinner parties for those who desire to host beautifully. I've selected an intimate team to create an experience combining the love of food, wine and design for in home entertaining.

Chris & Sarah Mad in Love

When I first met with Chris and Sarah, they had a venue booked, a custom top hat on the way and a dream of throwing an Alice in Wonderland inspired wedding with a mad hatter twist. C&S wanted more than your typical wedding, they wanted a celebration of love and an experience for their guests. The journey of planning, designing and crafting a concept into a real life wonderland lasted 14 months.

As I watched their first look, I couldn't help but shed a few tears of happiness. Two individuals head over heels in love and fully living in the moment on their wedding day, I'm not sure there is anything better than that.

A HUGE shout out to the amazing team of vendors who brought various parts of the vision to life

Wedding Workshop April 10, 2017

On April 10th I had the pleasure of hosting another wedding workshop in the beautiful and quaint coffee shop, Arvo Coffee, located in the Distillery District. A few of my favourite vendors joined me on a panel discussing wedding trends, flowers, photography, venue selection, hair and makeup, stationery, and tips on how to stay sane throughout the planning stages.  Each bride walked away with a swag bag full of goodies and gifts from the event sponsors.
Stay tuned for fall workshop dates!

Adam & Meghan

I had the pleasure of designing and coordinating Adam & Meghan's chic wedding at The Berkeley Church this past July. We began with white on white as our base and added a few pops of colour along the way. The champagne tower kicked off the reception followed by heartwarming speeches, dinner, a killer playlist and lots of dancing.
